"You realize to be free in this life, breaking the rules meant nothing. You have to be strong enough to make your own." Director: Ben Affleck Writers: Ben Affleck and Dennis Lehane Cinematographer: Robert Richardson Composer: Harry Gregson-Williams Cast: Ben Affleck, Zoe Saldana, Chris Cooper, Elle Fanning, Brendan Gleeson, Chris Messina, Robert Glenister, Sienna Miller, Titus Welliver, Clark Gregg and Anthony Michael Hall Review: This has been one of my most anticipated movies since i first heard about it. A Ben Affleck directed gangster movie? What's not to love? So far Ben Affleck hasn't directed anything less than great. Well, unfortunately that streak ends here. This movie was just downright boring. It started up pretty good, but after a certain point in the movie it just stops dead in it's tracks. It's been a while since i have checked my watch this much during a movie. What happened here? This does not feel like it's from the same director as Gone Baby Gone, The Town or Argo. But not only is this Ben Affleck's worst directed movie so far, it's one of his worst acting wise in the last few years as well. I have never thought of Ben as a great actor, but he has been getting better recently. Here though he was just sleepwalking through his own movie. The supporting cast were better, but still nothing too memorable. The best performance were probably from Elle Fanning and she was barely in the movie. This was very disappointing. Hopefully now that Ben won't be directing the next Batman movie anymore, he will cast someone other than himself in the lead for whatever it is he is gonna direct next. Maybe that is the problem. He needs to just focus on the directing and not acting as well. Hopefully this was just a fluke and he will be back on top with the next one.

"I'm training the world's most dominant pug. He's going through a bulking phase." Director: Renny Harlin Writer: Daniel Kunka Cinematographer: David Boyd Composer: Trevor Rabin Cast: John Cena, Aidan Gillen, Ashley Scott, Steve Harris, Brian White, Gonzalo Menendez, Taylor Cole and Kyle Clements Review: I'm glad Hollywood gave up on trying to make John Cena an action star. I don't have anything else to say about this.

"Is it safe?" Director: John Schlesinger Writer: William Goldman Cinematographer: Conrad L. Hall Composer: Michael Small Cast: Dustin Hoffman, Laurence Olivier, Roy Scheider, William Devane, Marthe Keller, Fritz Weaver, Richard Bright and Marc Lawrence Review: Dustin Hoffman is one of my all time favorite actors so it was about time i watched this. He gave a great performance as always. Laurence Olivier and Roy Scheider were also both fantastic here. Definitely worth watching for any fan of these actors.

"Here's Delmer, Woody's cousin, he was a drunk. One time we were wrestling and he felt me up. Grabbed a handful of boob and Woody was right there and didn't have a clue, did ya Woody?" Director: Alexander Payne Writer: Bob Nelson Cinematographer: Phedon Papamichael Composer: Mark Orton Cast: Bruce Dern, Will Forte, June Squibb, Bob Odenkirk, Stacy Keach, Mary Louise Wilson, Rance Howard, Tim Driscoll, Devin Ratray and Angela McEwan Review: This is another one of those movies i really wanted to watch back when it first came out, but never really got around to. Again, a real shame, because i really enjoyed it. Bruce Dern was perfectly cast here. Nobody plays a grumpy, old man quite like him.

"We never lose our demons, we only learn to live above them." Director: Scott Derrickson Writers: Scott Derrickson, Jon Spaihts and C. Robert Cargill Cinematographer: Ben Davis Composer: Michael Giacchino Cast: Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, Mads Mikkelsen, Tilda Swinton, Michael Stuhlbarg, Benjamin Bratt and Scott Adkins Review: I think i am starting to get tierd of these Marvel movies now. I used to watch the all opening night, but now i'm in no rush to catch the latest one. I'll still show up for the big even movies like The Avengers and Civil War, but the solo movies are starting to drag. This movie might have had some cool visuals compared to the others, but it's still pretty much the same story as the rest of them. Stephen Strange was pretty much just Tony Stark again with magic instead of gadgets. He had pretty much the same personallity with the quips and all that. The villain was boring and unmemorable as always. Even Mads Mikkelsen couldn't make him stand out. But even with all that it still managed to keep me entertained throughout. Benedict Cumberbatch did do a good job even if the character wasn't anything special and it had a lot of funny moments. Especially when he get's the cape. It reminded me of the magic carpet from Aladdin. So yeah, fun movie, but nothing memorable.
