"There can't be a happy ending. Because there has never been a happy ending for you." Director: Joe Swanberg Writers: Joe Swanberg and Jake Johnson Cinematographer: Eon Mora Composer: Dan Romer Cast: Jake Johnson, Aislinn Derbez, Joe Lo Truglio, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Berg, Arthur Agee, Nicky Excitement, Jude Swanberg, Kris Swanberg, José Antonio García and Cliff Chamberlain Review: I really wanted to like this. I really did. Jake Johnson is hilarious in pretty much everything he appears in so i want him to get more leading man roles, but not like this. This movie was just downright terrible. It was just filled to the brim with bad gambling movie clichés. I could pretty much predict the entire movie based on the first 5 to 10 minutes. Nothing surprised me. But i could have seen passed that if the movie actually had well written characters and was funny, but no, it's all terrible. I didn't laugh or even chuckle once during this entire movie. This is the worst Netflix movie i have seen so far. Yeah, even the Adam Sandler movie i have sat through are better. Jake Johnson is better than this.

"Man, I told you not to go in that house." Director: Jordan Peele Writer: Jordan Peele Cinematographer: Toby Oliver Composer: Michael Abels Cast: Daniel Kaluuya, Allison Williams, Catherine Keener, Bradley Whitford, Caleb Landry Jones, Marcus Henderson, Betty Gabriel, LilRel Howery, Lakeith Stanfield and Stephen Root Review: I knew Jordan Peele was funny, but i didn't know he was capable of this. This has to be one of the creepiest movies i have seen in a long time. From the moment it starts it just has this constant subtle, but eerie feeling that just keep building and building. It's not your typical horror movie filled with jump scares and gore, it's way better than that. I can only remember one jump scare now that i think about it. The performances all around are also way better than your typical horror movie. Especially from the lead actor, Daniel Kaluuya. He has consistently been good in everything i have seen him in, but this is the first time he has really impressed me. I'm gonna be keeping an eye out for him in future movies now. But i gotta talk about Jordan Peele again. Even in a creepy fucking movie like this, he still manages to get in a lot of funny moments as well. Not many people can blend comedy with horror like this and not turn everything into one big joke. There is one character played by LilRel Howery who is the comic relief of the movie and he could have easily ruined the whole tone of the movie, but he used just the perfect amount and never overplays it. There really isn't much to complain about here. The ending was a little rushed, but that is about it. It's gotta my favorite movie of the year so far.

"Intelligence. Nothing has caused the human race so much trouble as intelligence." Director: Alfred Hitchcock Writers: John Michael Hayes and Cornell Woolrich Cinematographer: Robert Burks Composer: Franz Waxman Cast: James Stewart, Grace Kelly, Wendell Corey, Thelma Ritter, Raymond Burr, Judith Evelyn, Ross Bagdasarian, Georgine Darcy, Sara Berner, Frank Cady and Jesslyn Fax Review: I have to admit that i have not watched nearly enough Alfred Hitchcock movies. This is one of those i had not yet seen until today, and that is a shame because i really enjoyed it. Sure, it's a little dated and slow at times, and the ending could have been better, but that's all the complaints i can think of. It still had me on the edge of my seat for most of it. I can see why this is considered one of Hitchcock's best.

"Is it true that there's a point on a man's head where if you shoot it, it will blow up?" Director: Edgar Wright Writers: Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg Cinematographer: Jess Hall Composer: David Arnold Cast: Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Timothy Dalton, Jim Broadbent, Paddy Considine, Rafe Spall, Kevin Eldon, Olivia Colman, Karl Johnson, Edward Woodward, Bill Bailey, Adam Buxton, Stephen Merchant, Rory McCann, Martin Freeman, Steve Coogan and Bill Nighy Review: Still one of my all time favorite movies. It always makes me laugh until it hurts. I really hope Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost will keep making movies together now that the Cornetto trilogy is over. It's gonna be hard to top Hot Fuzz though.

"You are probably going to be a very successful computer person. But you're going to go through life thinking that girls don't like you because you're a nerd. And I want you to know, from the bottom of my heart, that that won't be true. It'll be because you're an asshole." Director: David Fincher Writers: Aaron Sorkin and Ben Mezrich Cinematographer: Jeff Cronenweth Composers: Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross Cast: Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Armie Hammer, Justin Timberlake, Rooney Mara, Max Minghella, Rashida Jones, Brenda Song, Malese Jow, Joseph Mazzello and Dakota Johnson Review: Watching this movie again makes me even more mad about Jesse Eisenberg's performance in Batman v Superman. If he had played Lex Luther like this instead of like a spastic man-child it could have been one of the few good things about that movie. But enough about that, this movie still holds up. The cast all around are great. I still don't understand how Andrew Garfield got snubbed at the Oscars. He was easily the best part of the movie. Yeah, i even think he was better than Eisenberg. His breakdown at the end of the movie was gut wrenching. This is easily one of David Fincher's best movies.

"We need Ritalin and leashes, that's what we need." Director: Steve Carr Writer: Geoff Rodkey Cinematographer: Steven Poster Composer: David Newman Cast: Eddie Murphy, Jeff Garlin, Steve Zahn, Anjelica Huston, Regina King, Kevin Nealon and Jonathan Katz Review: Why do i keep wasting my time watching movies like this on Netflix when i have actual classics in my blu-ray collection i have yet to watch? Am i really that lazy?... I guess so...

"I watch the stock market channel all the time - I just watch because I suspect that anchor man of being an evil leprechaun... he can bullshit everybody else, but he ain't fooling me." Director: Steven Brill Writer: Tim Herlihy Cinematographer: Peter Lyons Collister Composer: Teddy Castellucci Cast: Adam Sandler, Winona Ryder, John Turturro, Peter Gallagher, Allen Covert, Jared Harris, Erick Avari, Peter Dante, Conchata Ferrell, Harve Presnell and Steve Buscemi Review: One of the last decent Adam Sandler movies and that is mostly due to the supporting cast. Winona Ryder is way too good for a love interest role in a Sandler flick.

"I was lucky to get a war. That's how the old guys saw it." Director: Fernando Coimbra Writer: Chris Roessner Cinematographer: Ben Richardson Composer: Adam Peters Cast: Nicholas Hoult, Logan Marshall-Green, Henry Cavill, Glen Powell, Beau Knapp, Sam Spruell, Neil Brown Jr., Sope Dirisu, Parker Sawyers and Tommy Flanagan Review: Another bland Netflix movie. It had it's moments and some interesting characters, but mostly it was just dull and predictable. There is nothing here you haven't already seen in a million other war movies. Henry Cavill was also criminally underused. He is great when he is not playing Superman.
